Lifelong Training - CLK

Every year, the IEM strives to run at least one or two Open Courses (one per semester), which, within the scope of the Lifelong Training - Luís Krus Center of NOVA FCSH offer, divulge and disseminate the Middle Ages as we know them today to the general public. These are courses with 12/14 sessions around a main theme given by specialists, whether from the IEM or other Portuguese institutions. These courses allow for the obtention of school credits through evaluation (only in the FCSH) and also within the scope of Teacher Training (accreditation by the Scientific-Pedagogical Council of Continuous Training).

Summer School

Since its launch, the FCSH Summer School has attracted very considerable participation for its modules on Medieval Studies in fields ranging from Islam to Iconography, from Studies on Lisbon to Astrology. This provision, almost entirely ensured by IEM researchers, has received great adherence from civil society, and especially university students who enrol in constantly substantial numbers in the modules offered.
