The programme for the 9th Conference of the Society for the Medieval Mediterranean, which will take place in Lisbon next June, is now available. The event is jointly organised by this international association of researchers and the Institute for Medieval Studies.

The programme brings together an ambitious range of initiatives, including keynotes by Dan Smail (Harvard University) and Ana Echavarría Arsuaga (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia), as well as 43 thematic sessions framed around this edition’s theme: Small Worlds, Big Worlds: Medieval Mediterranean Perspectives.
