In the 2019 FCT call for PhD doctoral grants, two of the candidates who had applied with the IEM as their host institution were awarded scholarships.
The successful candidates are Diana Martins and Diogo Gomes, who presented the call with their thesis projects, respectively entitled, Ambassiatores meos: protagonistas e agentes das relações diplomáticas portuguesas (1279-1325) and Irmãos e Irmãs na Península Ibérica e no Mundo Transpirenaico (“Ambassiatores meos: protagonists and agents of Portuguese diplomatic relations (1279-1325)” and “Brothers and Sisters on the Iberian Peninsula and in the Trans-Pyrenees Word. Family and Royal Power in the Medieval West during the 11th-13th centuries”).
Both the IEM and the new PhD scholars are to be congratulated!
