The WHALE-TWIN project, which brings together a multidisciplinary team including researchers from CHAM, IHC and the Institute for Medieval Studies, represented by Rui Venâncio, was featured on RTP.
The RTP report highlighted the work being carried out in Peniche to digitise and promote the historical heritage associated with whaling, emphasising the value of whale bones preserved in local buildings, some of which date back to the medieval period. The report also highlighted the project’s aim of contributing to the preservation and dissemination of this heritage through the creation of a future Digital Atlas of the Oceans.
