On 23 May, the historic village of Idanha-a-Velha hosted the “Village Celebration”, an event marking the conclusion of the project “iDanha – new links, new creative historical readings”, funded by the La Caixa Foundation through the Promove programme. The project was a partnership between IEM (NOVA University Lisbon), CEIS20 (University of Coimbra), the Municipality of Idanha-a-Nova and the Association of Friends of the Parish of Idanha-a-Velha (LAFIV).

It was a celebratory day in which research intersected with both old and new forms of knowledge. A festival created by and for the people of Idanha, aiming to bring science closer to its citizens. It was truly a festive occasion, filled with activities that brought together those who live in the village, those who visit it, and those who study this remarkable village with its long and rich history.
