EMCAM – Early Medieval Archaeological Meetings is back in Castelo de Vide for its second edition. Organized by IEM and the Municipality of Castelo de Vide, it will take place on the 29th, 30th and 31st of May.

These meetings aim to create a meeting space for leading researchers in rural archaeology, an opportunity to debate the state of research, incorporate and discuss new data and reflect on common strategies.

Communications, debates, and poster sessions will be held on Thursday and Friday. The meeting languages ​​are Portuguese, Spanish and English. On Saturday, participants will take a field trip to various archaeological sites.

We invite all researchers working on rural spaces in the Medieval Age to send their communication or poster proposals by April 4th.
