This call is now accepting applications for a research scholarship aimed at master’s students, for a period of six months. The scholarship is offered in the context of the project “Think Big About Small Border Towns: Alto Alentejo and Alta Extremadura Leonese (13th to 16th Centuries)(PTDC/HARHIS/3024/2020)”.

The call will be open from February 19th to March 6th, 2024.

Admission requirements: Applicants must have a degree and a master’s in History with a focus on Medieval History.

Preferred requirements:
a) Knowledge of paleography, particularly sources from the 13th to 16th centuries;
b) Experience in archival investigation;
c) Experience in filling out historiographical documentation databases.

Main activities to be developed:

  • Computer processing of collected information;
  • Completion of the Project database;
  • Presentation and publication of results at scientific meetings and publications;
  • Participation in communication and science dissemination activities within the community;
  • Preparation of a report on the work carried out.
