The “Forais de D. Dinis” (Charters of D. Dinis), a work coordinated by Maria Helena da Cruz Coelho and with texts, transcriptions and indexes written by Maria Helena da Cruz Coelho and Ana Rita Rocha, is now available in open access on the Imprensa Nacional website.
The work, in an e-book (PDF) format, publishes the charters granted by King Dinis during his reign (1279-1325) and was coordinated by Maria Helena da Cruz Coelho, a retired FLUC professor and researcher at the CHSC. The texts, transcriptions and indexes were written by Maria Helena da Cruz Coelho and Ana Rita Rocha, researcher at the IEM and collaborator at the CHSC. In addition to the full transcription of the Dinis issued charters, the book also includes a preface by Ivo Castro, a retired FLUL professor and CLUL researcher, an introductory text entitled “Os forais de D. Dinis: contexto político” (“D. Dinis Charters: the political context”), written by Maria Helena da Cruz Coelho, and anthroponym, toponymic and ideographic indexes.
