On 24 March, two IEM initiatives will receive their simultaneously public presentation by researcher Tiago Viúla de Faria.

Firstly, there is the presentation of the project FALCO – Hypothesising Human-Animal Relations in Medieval Portugal, an exploratory project in partnership with the Municipal Council of Salvaterra de Magos and the DGPC Archeo-science Laboratory, having obtained competitive funding from FCT.

Subsequently, the international research network NEMUS – the Network for the Environment in Medieval Uses and Societies will be presented. Its aim is to promote scientific collaboration at an interdisciplinary level on the study of human societies in their interactions with the environment during the Middle Ages.
