In order to promote the preparation of competitive applications to research programs funded by the European Commission, the Instituto de Estudos Medievais (IEM – NOVA FCSH, Portugal) opens annual calls for exploratory funding, directed to all its members who are, or are willing to become, integrated PhD researchers. The Exploratory Funding will have a maximum duration of 12 months and a maximum cost of €5,000 (five thousand euros) per application.
