Maria de Lurdes Rosa elected to the Lisbon Academy of Sciences
The IEM Director joins the institution for her contribution to Medieval Studies
Maria de Lurdes Rosa, the current Institute of Medieval Studies director, is the new Corresponding Member of the 4th Branch (History) in the Letters Class of the Lisbon Academy of Sciences (Academia das Ciências de Lisboa).
The researcher now joins professors José Pedro Paiva (FLUC – Modern History) and Sérgio Campos de Matos (FLUL – Contemporary History) as the institution’s medievalist correspondents. “Research in medieval history thus gains increased visibility in the heart of a secular institution of science and culture”, the NOVA FCSH professor affirmed.
