It is with great pleasure that we may announce that Medievalista edition no. 31 is now available. This journal features an interesting essay on José Mattoso’s Contemplative History in conjunction with a very significant number of texts, initiatives and details on research in progress from the most diverse sources, which represent further testimony to the different ways of making and communicating science in the field of medieval studies. It is hoped and expected that they serve to consolidate the journal as a space for the diffusion, debate and sharing of knowledge, doubts and questions, with free and open access for the participation of all, without costs of any kind, whether for readers or for researchers. As has always been the case at Medievalista and so shall always be in the future.
