As in previous years, this year the IEM is running another “Concorrer a uma Bolsa de Doutoramento FCT” (Applying for an FCT PhD Grant) workshop, in which we shall discuss, critique and frame the doctoral projects that candidates intend to present for PhD grants financed by the Foundation for Science and Technology and hosted by the Institute of Medieval Studies (IEM), the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, NOVA University (NOVA FCSH).
The session begins with a generic introduction containing general advice on how to fill out the forms and the requirements requested, followed by a sequence of presentations in which candidates have 15 minutes to present various aspects of their projects. This will be followed by a wide-ranging debate involving the professors supervising the projects and other members of the IEM with experience in similar competitions thereby helping to consolidate and finalise the individual proposals subsequently presented individually by each PhD student.
This session will take place on March 18th 2019, between 2pm and 6pm, at NOVA FCSH (Building ID, Room 0.06) and is restricted to candidates who intend to submit their applications to the Call for PhD Scholarships – 2019 with the IEM as the host institution.
