The Institute for Medieval Studies (IEM) of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at NOVA University of Lisbon (NOVA FCSH), as a R&D Unit, welcomes applications for the Portuguese national funding agency (Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia – FCT) program of PhD inidividual grants, which is open from February 28 to March 28, 2018 (5pm UTC).
The IEM aims to promote high quality research in the medieval field and foster international collaboration that contributes to new, multidisciplinary and comparative approaches to the Middle Ages. The IEM has a body of 150 members, which makes it the largest research center in Portugal exclusively devoted to Medieval Studies.
IEM’s researchers can supervise thesis in Archaeology, Historical Archival Science, Literature, History and Art History.
