Rebeca Baptista

Bachelor Degree and Master Degree in Art History by Faculdade de Letras Universidade de Lisboa, with a thesis entitled “Walrus Ivory in Medieval Europe from the 9th to the 12th Centuries”. Postgraduated in Medieval Studies at the same University. PhD student in Medieval Studies at the Faculdade de Ciências Socias e Humanas da Universidade Nova and at Universidade Aberta. Currently developing a thesis entitled “Marine ivories in Europe in the 10th-13th centuries. Hunting, movement and use of whale, walrus and narwhal raw material.”, which is financed by National Funds through FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia.
