Joana Lages Gonçalves
Joana Lages Gonçalves holds a degree in History from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at Nova University of Lisbon, and she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in History, specializing in Medieval History, at the same institution. She also works in the area of archival studies, for which she has organized family archives. Since then, Joana has been involved as a paleographer in various projects, including the transcription of documents for the Fragmenta Historica scientific journal, the editing of a manuscript from the National Library authored by Manuel Severim de Faria, and more recently, the collaborative editing of the Cadernos de impostos extraordinários de Loulé and Livros de fruta de Loulé. Additionally, she has volunteered at various conferences organized entirely or in partnership with the Institute for Medieval Studies (IEM). Her areas of interest are Archival Studies, Women’s Religious Experiences and Environmental History.
