Helena Moniz
Currently working on her phd on Medieval Studies by UAb, Helena Sofia Moniz is studying the the threshold of mankind in the anthropomorphic hybrids that are present in the fundational iberian texts. This thesis is based upon a crossing point of view between historical anthropology and the critical animal studies.
In the past, searching through all arts she has always preferred the one that uses the verbal code as a cultural expression crossing time and universal boundaries through reading and interpretation, whether in her readings or in her teaching.
Thus she engaged in Classical Language studies from an early age so she would learn more about the roots of her own cultural background and later she started studying several literature τόποι from different authors and ages. Focusing on the subjective point of view, she developed her Teaching Master on different interpretative approaches of literature while in her teaching internship: Portuguese and Latin languages.
