Diana Neves Martins is a PhD Fellow of the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (SFRH/BD/143626/2019). Her doctoral research aims to study medieval Portuguese diplomacy during the reign of D. Dinis (1279-1325), with a PhD titled: “Ambassiatores meos: circunstâncias, processos e agentes das relações diplomáticas portuguesas (1279-1325) / Ambassiatores meos: circonstances, processus et agents des relations diplomatiques portugaises (1279-1325)”. She is currently attending the PhD in Medieval Studies at Universidade Nova de Lisboa Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and University Aberta since 10/01/2019, which is co-tutored with the École Pratique des Hautes Études. In 2018 she completed her Master in History from Universidade Nova de Lisboa Faculty of Social and Human Sciences and was awarded 1 Merit and Excellence Award — Best Master in History 2017/2018. Her master’s research was financed by an IEM / EGEAC Master’s Scholarship. She is a Research Assistant at the Institute of Medieval Studies (IEM – NOVA / FCSH), where, since 2020, she is also the elected representative of the PhD Students and Fellows.
