Delmira Espada Custódio
Graduated in Fine Arts – Painting, in the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon (FBAUL). Master degree in Medieval Art History in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Nova University of Lisbon, with the thesis “The light of grisaille. Art, liturgy and history in the Book of Hours ascribed to Queen Eleanor of Portugal (BNP, IL 165).” She has concluded a PhD project in Medieval Art History, in the same Faculty, addressing the “Artistic relationship between Portugal and Flanders through the Books of Hours preserved in the Portuguese institutions”, developed with a scholarship from Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). She is an integrated member of the Institute of Medieval Studies, where she develops research projects.
