As part of the Leiria Medieval 2025 event, this year centered on the theme 1325 D. Dinis: The King Who Did Not Die, the Municipality of Leiria, in partnership with the Institute of Medieval Studies of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at NOVA University Lisbon, is organizing—as in previous years—a series of “Conversations” dedicated to the aforementioned theme. Under the scientific coordination of Catarina Fernandes Barreira, these “Conversations” on History will take place on July 18, 19, and 20, 2025, and will feature a group of renowned medievalists as speakers and moderators for each session.

Sunday, July 20, 3:00 PM:
“King D. Dinis, Leiria, and Its Region” by Professor Saul António Gomes (CHSC FL, University of Coimbra), moderated by Professor João Luís Fontes (IEM, NOVA FCSH, NOVA University Lisbon).
