Organized by IEM, the International Meeting: The transfer of knowledge and innovation in Historical Sciences. Challenges and opportunities will take place on the 9th and 10th of October, at Colégio Alamada Negreiros, in room 209 (2nd Floor).

Over the last few years, the transfer of knowledge and innovation from research units has led to the creation of various projects with significant dimensions and societal impacts. Aware of the need to innovate and transfer knowledge, in 2022 the Institute of Medieval Studies began a project that aims to find new ways to get its research out to wider audiences, creating value for heritage and historical knowledge.

Projects like this have been successful and it is the sharing of these experiences that this meeting aims to address, while also debating the challenges that our times pose for disseminating science and making it accessible to all. The program features several success stories from around the Iberian Peninsula that were born in an academic context and which currently have a strong component of innovation and social impact.
