The documentation produced by religious institutions occupies a place of reference among the archival funds that historians use for their work. This session will present three examples of approach to documentary units of this nature which, although distinct, converge in the confirmation of the mutual benefit of the partnership between historians, archivists and institutions that hold archives: the registry of the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça in Lisbon, the collection of the monastery of Santa Clara de Santarém and the Platform of Personal Archives and Religious Institutions (PAPIR).

This session will be attended by Joana Peres (CHAM-FCSH/NOVA, UAc), Filomena Andrade (UAB; CEHR/UCP) and João Luís Fontes (IEM-FCSH/NOVA; CEHR-UCP), José António Rocha (CEHR/UCP) and moderated by Paulo Fontes.
