Jonathan Wilson was recently awarded a Beatriu de Pinós Fellowship in Catalunya under the call for grants published last year (2022).
The Catalan Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR) will support Jonathan over three years to undertake research of his choosing. Jonathan earned his PhD in the University of Liverpool, where he also taught European Medieval History, and has been a researcher in IEM since 2011. From 2020-2022, Jonathan was Research Fellow in the Cistercian Horizons (Alcobaça) Project based in IEM, and among his various publications, his 2021 book for the Routledge series, Crusade Texts in Translation, The Conquest of Santarém and Goswin’s Song of Alcácer do Sal, Editions and Translations of De expugnatione Scalabis and Gosuini de expugnatione Salaciae carmen, was recently released in paperback.
