Maria de Fátima Botão

She is a high school teacher, currently engaged in technical-pedagogical activities at the National Agency for Qualification and Vocational Education. She is an integrated researcher at the Institute of Medieval Studies – Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, and a scientific consultant for various organizations and initiatives. She is the author of several books and articles, with a particular focus on Medieval History of the Algarve and History Didactics. Her PhD thesis on Loulé Medieval History was awarded the Almeida Fernandes Prize in 2010.
