The Think Big About Small Border Towns project is organising the workshop “Descobrir as pequenas vilas de fronteira: fontes para o estudo da paisagem urbana, vínculos e fluxos” (Discovering the small border villages: sources for the study of urban landscapes, links and flows) in Castelo de Vide on 26 May.

This meeting, attended by all team members, aims to present and contrast the Portuguese and Castilian sources, exploring their respective potentials, limits and particularities in the face of comparative and cross-cultural research.

The 27th and 28th are then given over to internal project meetings and fieldwork, also taking place in Castelo de Vide.

Organisation: FRONTOWNS project – Think big about small border towns: Alto Alentejo and Alta Extremadura (13th – 16th centuries)
Organising Commission: Adelaide Millán da Costa and Gonçalo Melo da Silva
