The IEM is pleased to announce the awarding of 1st Prize by the European Cultural Tourism Network for the initiative “Somos o que Comemos – O património alimentar nos Parques e Monumentos de Sintra” (We are what we eat – Food heritage in the Parks and Monuments of Sintra) organised by SPIRA with our institute acting as one of the scientific partners.

In addition to the active participation of Mário Farelo in the scientific design of the guided tours, the IEM was represented at the International Conference with a panel entitled “Food Habits in the Sintra region and in the Parques de Sintra monuments, in different eras”, in which Dolores Villalba, João Luís Fontes and Ricardo Cordeiro participated, with Maria João Branco as moderator.
