Within the scope of the MONS project, which results from the partnership between IEM, the Municipality of Vouzela, and the Vouzelar Association, the second excavation campaign of the medieval seasonal settlement of Tapado das Casas (Carvalhal de Vermilhas, Vouzela) begins in June. The information recovered there during last year’s excavations points to the occupation of these mountain structures between the 10th and 15th centuries.
