Carlos Alves PhD in Art History from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2015) whose dissertation topic was dedicated to the artistic and architectural evolution of the cathedral of Viseu from the Middle Ages to the Contemporary period. In 2010 he completed his Masters in Art History at the Faculty of Arts, University of Coimbra where he studied the DGEMN’s interventions in Viseu Cathedral. In 2006 she finished her degree in History, variant History of Art in the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra.  

In the professional field, her training began at the National Museum of Grão Vasco (2007). Between 2008 and 2009, she was part of the team of researchers who participated in the project for the candidacy of the University of Coimbra as a UNESCO Heritage Site.  Between 2013 and 2022 he worked as an art historian at EON, Indústrias Criativas, a company essentially dedicated to the management of cultural heritage. 

Currently he works at the Institute for Medieval Studies as a PhD researcher contracted for the development and implementation of Spin-off.
