Beatriz Ferreira
Beatriz Ferreira’s initial training area involved completing a degree with two curricular internships in the Tourist Information course at the Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril (ESHTE). Over the three years of the degree, the curricular plan included curricular units directly related to the History of Portugal, cultural and built heritage, Portuguese culture, art history, and languages (namely English and Italian). It was a degree that balanced the theoretical aspect with practice, preparing her to perform duties as a guide-interpreter, having obtained a final average grade of 15.
The desire to deepen her study in the area of Art History led her to join FCSH as a master’s student in the Art History course, with a specialization in Contemporary Art, in September 2022. In June 2023, she completed the first year of her master’s degree (teaching aspect) with an average of 17 points and is currently writing his master’s thesis, with the provisional title “O Imaginário Medieval na Cultura-Pop: a tetralogia Shrek” where she studies issues of medievalism and neo medievalism and its expressions in popular culture, mainly focusing on medieval animated cinema.
She also took two free foreign language courses intending to complement her CV. In 2017, she was a student at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Lisbona, where she did a semester of Italian language (level A1), ending with 18 points. She also enrolled in the Korean language and culture course between 2020 and 2023 at the King Sejong Institute in Lisbon (on the FCSH campus), where she studied the Korean language up to level V-2, which she finished with an average of 17.
