X LUSO-SPANISH CONFERENCE ON MEDIEVAL HISTORY
The Iberian Kingdoms in the 13th and 14th Centuries On the 700th Anniversary of the Death of King Dinis

On the occasion of the 7th centenary of King Dinis’s death, the 10th Luso-Spanish Conference on Medieval History, organized by the Portuguese Society for Medieval Studies and the Spanish Society for Medieval Studies, will celebrate the life and times of this monarch.

The meeting aims to serve as a space for reflection, debate, and exchange among medievalists, fostering scientific dialogue on the political, territorial, social, and cultural dynamics that shaped the Iberian world during the transition to the Late Middle Ages. The event will feature the participation of numerous researchers from Portugal, Spain, and other countries, and will take place on November 14 and 15, 2025, in Leiria, structured around the following sections: Politics and Powers, Social Dynamics, Cultures and Religions, and King Dinis and His Realm.
