On September 8 and 9, the University of Évora will host the International Conference “The Art of Renaissance Illuminations – António de Holanda, his Arts and Sciences”. This event takes place within the framework of the project ROADMAP – Research on António de Holanda Miniatures Artistic Production (PTDC/ART-HIS/0985/2021) and will present the main results of the research carried out so far.

The conference aims to foster scientific dialogue between specialists in illumination and conservation science, encouraging the sharing of knowledge on artistic and technological sources related to manuscript production, material characterization, and the study of the materiality of these works of art.

The IEM will be represented by researchers Miguel Metelo de Seixas and Catarina Fernandes Barreira, members of the project team, who are part of the Organizing Committee and will present papers at the meeting.
