The course “Prova, informação, memória – curso de formação em Arquivística e AtoM” (“Evidence, information, memory – training course in Archiving and AtoM”) aims to enable students to understand basic archival concepts, equipping them with the tools to articulate international archival principles and standards and to apply methodologies for the organisation, classification and description of documentary collections. The course also provides training on AtoM (Access to Memory), the open access archival description software, on best practice in document preservation and conservation, and on strategies for communication and dissemination of information in archives. The training program is staged through collaboration between NOVA FCSH, the Centre for Religious History Studies (UCP) and the ERC VINCULUM project (IEM-NOVA FCSH).
