Rita Sampaio da Nóvoa

Rita Sampaio da Nóvoa holds a degree in History (2004) from the School of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NOVA FCSH), a Master’s in History, specialising in Medieval History (2010), from the same faculty and a PhD in History, specialising in Historical Archivistics (2016), from NOVA FCSH in co-tutelle with the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Between 2017 and 2021 she was a post-doctoral fellow with the support of the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia. In 2021 she joined the team of the VINCULUM project, funded by the European Research Council and based at NOVA FCSH, as responsible for science communication. In 2022 she started working as a PhD research fellow in the same project. She is co-coordinator of the Postgraduate Course in Historical Archivisticas at NOVA FCSH, where she was an invited professor. Her research interests focus on pre-modern family archives, the history of Ancien Regime nobilities and Historical Archivistics.
