Applications for Scientific Research and Technological Development Projects in all FCT Scientific Domains open on 27 November 2025. Researchers wishing to apply with the Institute as their host institution should express their interest by emailing iem.geral@fcsh.unl.pt by 15 January 2026.

O IEM will organize a discussion session to guide applicants on March 3rd at 10:00 a.m.

The final deadline for submitting applications is 11 March at 17:00 (Lisbon time).

Within the framework of the opening of applications for the 2025 Call for Research and Development (R&D) Projects in all scientific fields, the Research Support Division (DAI) of NOVA FCSH is promoting the following support programme:

PEX and IC&DT Schedule

  • Provision of the Support Kit for Research Units – 19 December 2025;
  • Support sessions, 19–22 January 2026 (online):
    • 19 January 2026 | 10:00–12:00 – Session on the application form and proposal preparation
    • 20 January 2026 | 14:00–16:00 – IC&DT and PEX budgeting / Excel
    • 21 January 2026 | 10:30–11:30 – Project execution and management: best practices
    • 22 January 2026 | 14:30–16:00 – FCT projects: success stories
  • Helpdesk support available during the first half of February 2026:
    • 2–6 February – PEX in the morning (10:30–12:00) and IC&DT in the afternoon (14:30–16:00)
    • 9–13 February – IC&DT in the morning (10:30–12:00) and PEX in the afternoon (14:30–16:00)
  • Submission of budgets for validation by DAI by 18 February 2026.
