Professor Alberto Ferreiro’s hand library, donated by him to the Institute for Medieval Studies in 2021, is now fully cataloged and available to all IEM members and the general public.

This is an important bibliographic collection where we can highlight works related to Patrology Studies, a vast bibliography on the Suevo and Visigothic domain in the Iberian Peninsula, and many publications related to archaeological work on related topics.

In addition to these, the vast work of this researcher also stands out. This fund also contains an important collection of primary sources published in rigorous scientific editions and a considerable number of classic works that nowadays have become rare and are difficult to find.

This bibliographic nucleus is accessible on the shelves of the IEM Library, integrated into the Vitorino Magalhães Godinho Library, based at Colégio Almada Negreiros, and fully cataloged in the general catalog of the NOVA FCSH Libraries.
