The international conference “Pequenas cidades e coesão territorial na Europa do Sul e no espaço atlântico (Idade Média – Tempos atuais)” (Small towns and territorial cohesion in Southern Europe and the Atlantic area (Middle Ages – Current times) will be held in Madrid, at Casa de Velázquez, on 18 and 19 January 2018.

This initiative represents one component of the project funded via the first edition of the agreement established between the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, NOVA University (NOVA FCSH) and Casa de Velázquez (2017/2018), which brings together researchers from the IEM – Institute of Medieval Studies (NOVA FCSH), CHAM – Humanities Centre (NOVA FCSH, University of the Azores) and IHC – Institute of Contemporary History (NOVA FCSH).
