Following the 2014 and 2015 editions, the Institute for Medieval Studies, the Center of History of Aquém and Além Mar, the Institute of Contemporary History and the Institute of History of Art are now coming together to organize the III International Workshop Changes and Continuities (MeC3).

This initiative, which encompasses these four research units of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the New University of Lisbon (FCSH/NOVA), will take place in Lisbon, at FCSH/NOVA and at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, between September 14 and 16, 2017, and will focus on three thematic axes: “Global History”, “Visual Culture”, “Itinerances”, for which the period for the submission of paper proposals is now open.

The meeting aims to bring together researchers from different chronological periods, at different stages of their research, and that fall within the axes mentioned (the organizers foresee the publication of a collective volume with scientific arbitration in 2018).

On the last day of the workshop a meeting will be held, designed as a laboratory, which aims to share ideas and build networks (LabNet), with a view to presenting European projects of an institutional nature.
