Estão abertas as inscrições para o Colóquio Internacional Intervir na Memória.
Restauros de Época Moderna em Monumentos Funerários Medievais (sécs. XV-XX), a
decorrer na Faculdade de Belas-Artes de Lisboa, de 25 a 26 de Setembro de 2016.

O Colóquio centrar-se-á nas intervenções a que certos projectos funerários medievais
foram sujeitos ao longo da época moderna e o impacto dessas mesmas acções, tanto
na realidade física dos túmulos, quanto no entendimento que deles se foi construindo.
Esta análise pode incluir manipulações de natureza diversa, desde os restauros às
deslocações/descontextualizações.

O programa inclui 3 sessões compostas por especialistas convidados e 2 sessões de
posters, para além de uma visita ao antigo convento de S. Francisco, a inauguração da
exposição Contemporary Interventions in Memory: Dialogues and Silence (reunindo
obras de alunos da FBAUL, inspiradas no tema do Colóquio), a exibição da obra A
(im)permanência do gesto / The (Im)permanence of the Gesture, 2018, vídeo, 26’40’’,
de Manuel Botelho, e a apresentação do volume Almas de Pedra. Escultura Tumular:
da Criação à Musealização | Souls of Stone. Funerary Sculpture: from Creation to
Musealization. Eds. Giulia Rossi Vairo, Joana Ramôa Melo, Maria João Vilhena de
Carvalho. Lisboa: Instituto de Estudos Medievais NOVA FCSH, 2019.

O Colóquio é organizado pelos Instituto de Estudos Medievais e do Instituto de História
da Arte da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa,
juntamente com o Centro de Investigação e Estudos em Belas Artes da Faculdade de
Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa.

Registrations for the International Colloquium Interventions in Memory. Modern Era
Restorations of Medieval Funerary Monuments (15th-20th centuries), taking place at
the Faculdade de Belas Arts of Lisbon, from 25 to 26 September 2019, are open.

The Colloquium will focus on interventions made in relation to certain medieval
funerary projects during the modern era, assessing the impact of those actions both on
the materiality of tombs and on the interpretations they have prompted. This analysis
may include interventions of different kinds, from restorations to
dislocations/decontextualizations.

The programme includes 3 sessions of invited specialists and 2 posters’ sessions, but
also a visit to the former convent of Saint Francis of Lisbon, the opening of the
exhibition Contemporary Interventions in Memory: Dialogues and Silence (gathering
the works of students from the Faculty of Fine Arts, inspired by the subject of the
Colloquium), the exhibition of the work A (im)permanência do gesto / The
(Im)permanence of the Gesture, 2018, vídeo, 26’40’’, by Manuel Botelho, and the
