Entre 5 e 7 de outubro realizam-se as VIII Jornadas Internacionais de Idade Média, em Castelo de Vide. O tema desta edição é “As religiões na Europa Medieval”, contando com três conferências plenárias realizadas por renomados especialistas nacionais e internacionais, como Maria Filomena Andrade (U. Aberta; CEHR-UCP), Maxime l’Héritier (Université Paris 8 ) e Maribel Fierro (Centro de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales – CSIC).

As Jornadas Internacionais de Idade Média são uma iniciativa do Instituto de Estudos Medievais e da Câmara Municipal de Castelo de Vide, que este ano propõe o tema da religiosidade do mundo urbano medieval, abrangendo, por isso, uma grande multiplicidade de temas, que integram facilmente tanto o mundo cristão como o islâmico ou o judaico.

Between October 5th and 7th, the VIII International Days of the Middle Ages will take place in Castelo de Vide. The theme of this edition is “Religions in Medieval Europe”, with three plenary conferences held by renowned national and international experts, such as Maria Filomena Andrade (U. Aberta; CEHR-UCP), Maxime l'Héritier (Université Paris 8) and Maribel Fierro (Center for Human and Social Sciences – CSIC).

The International Days of the Middle Ages are an initiative of the Institute of Medieval Studies and the Municipal Council of Castelo de Vide, which this year proposes the theme of religiosity in the medieval urban world, therefore covering a large multiplicity of themes, which are easily integrated both the Christian and Islamic or Jewish worlds.
