O 2.º Ciclo de Webinars “Dialogues of Art, History and Law” é organizado pelo Instituto de Estudos Medievais (IEM-NOVA/FCSH), em conjunto com a equipa de investigação do IUS ILLUMINATUM, e em parceria com o Instituto Português de Heráldica (IPH), a Biblioteca Capitular de Verona e a Biblioteca Capitular de Vercelli.

Esta iniciativa, organizada por uma comissão científica e organizacional composta por membros da equipa de investigação do IUS ILLUMINATUM, coordenada pela investigadora Maria Alessandra Bilotta, PI da equipa, pretende estabelecer um profícuo diálogo entre diferentes disciplinas científicas, nomeadamente História da Arte, História, e História do Direito, necessárias para o estudo de manuscritos e documentos jurídicos.

Esta iniciativa pretende também facilitar sinergias entre as diversas áreas do conhecimento e divulgar os resultados da investigação a um público mais alargado, mantendo sempre o rigor científico. Promover a importância de uma abordagem interdisciplinar no estudo dos manuscritos e documentos jurídicos medievais, chamando a atenção para a importância de conservar esse patrimônio, são também objectivos desta iniciativa.

O Workshop de Investigação de Doutoramento constitui uma sessão especial do ciclo de Webinars "Dialogues of Art, History and Law" e é organizado pela equipa de investigação do IUS ILLUMINATUM em colaboração com os habituais parceiros organizadores do ciclo Webinar juntamente com o Doutoramento Nacional em Ciências do Património da Sapienza Università di Roma e do Dipartimento di Studi Storici da Università di Torino.

No Workshop, os membros da equipa de investigação do IUS ILLUMINATUM, doutorandos ou já doutorados em ilustração de manuscritos e livros jurídicos, exporão os caminhos e resultados das suas investiugações e irão debatê-los com seus orientadores e com um público mais amplo, de modo a mostrar o trabalho realizado por Ius Illuminatum também no contexto dos estudos de doutoramento.  A criação de um espaço de debate, sinergia e uma troca frutífera de ideias entre alunos de doutoramento e a comunidade acadêmica, são também objectivos desta 2ª sessão.

The 2^nd Webinars Cycle “Dialogues of Art, History and Law” is organized by the Institute of Medieval Studies (IEM- NOVA/FCSH), together with the IUS ILLUMINATUM research team and in partnership with the Portuguese Heraldry Institute (IPH), the Capitular Library of Verona and the Capitular Library of Vercelli.

This initiative, organized by a scientific and organizational committee composed of members of the IUS ILLUMINATUM research team, coordinated by researcher Maria Alessandra Bilotta, PI of the team, aims to establish a fruitful dialogue between different scientific disciplines, namely History of Art, History, and History of Law, necessary for the study of illuminated legal manuscripts and documents.

This initiative also aims to facilitate synergies between different areas of knowledge and to disseminate the results of research to a broader audience, always maintaining scientific rigor, to promote the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in the study of manuscripts and medieval legal documents, drawing attention to the importance of conserving that heritage.

The Doctoral Research Workshop constitutes a special session of the Webinar cycle Dialogues of Art, History, and Law and is organized by the IUS ILLUMINATUM research team in collaboration with the usual partner's organizers of the Webinar cycle together with the National Ph.D. Course in Heritage Sciences of the Sapienza Università di Roma and the Dipartimento di Studi Storici of the Università di Torino.

In the Workshop, the members of the IUS ILLUMINATUM research team, who are carrying out or have carried out their Ph.D. thesis on the illustration of legal manuscripts and books, will exhibit the paths and results of their research and will discuss them with their supervisors, together with a wider audience to show the work carried out by Ius Illuminatum also in the context of doctoral studies and to create a place for discussion, synergy and a fruitful exchanges of ideas between Ph.D. students and the academic community.
