IEM aceita candidaturas ao 6º Concurso de Estímulo ao Emprego Científico Individual FCT
Candidaturas entre 4 de abril e 3 de maio
 
 
Abre no dia 4 de abril a sexta edição do Concurso Estímulo ao Emprego Científico Individual da Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), destinado ao financiamento de contratos para investigadores doutorados em todas as áreas científicas.

Este Concurso Individual destina-se a doutorados de qualquer nacionalidade ou apátridas detentores de percurso em qualquer área científica que pretendam desenvolver a sua atividade de investigação científica ou desenvolvimento tecnológico em Portugal, integrados em unidades de I&D financiadas pela FCT.

O concurso estará aberto até ao dia 3 de maio, encerrando às 17:00 (hora de Lisboa).

No âmbito deste concurso de Estímulo ao Emprego Científico, o Instituto de Estudos Medievais da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (IEM-NOVA FCSH), enquanto Unidade de Investigação (UI), aceita acolher os candidatos que apresentem candidaturas que se enquadrem no seu Projeto Estratégico.
 
Os candidatos interessados em concorrer com o Instituto de Estudos Medievais como UI de acolhimento devem contactar o IEM-NOVA FCSH para o email iem.geral@fcsh.unl.pt, até ao dia 14 de abril, manifestando a sua intenção de concorrer e enviando também um CV e um primeiro esboço do projeto a apresentar (até 2 páginas)."
 
Na sequência desta primeira aceitação da proposta, os candidatos receberão feedback sobre os seus projetos, bem como o necessário aconselhamento e apoio à submissão dos projetos de investigação junto da FCT.  
 
O IEM organizará a sessão “Concorrer ao Estímulo Individual FCT” (com data a definir), uma iniciativa interna especialmente dedicada à apresentação e debate dos projetos aceites, no confronto com outras experiências bem sucedidas de projetos similares apresentados ou assessorados por investigadores do IEM. O IEM organizará ainda pela primeira vez uma segunda sessão (com data a definir) de debate mais alargado com a participação de outras UIs da NOVA FCSH.
 
À semelhança de anos anteriores a NOVA FCSH proporcionará aos seus candidatos várias sessões de esclarecimentos. Todos os candidatos do IEM poderão participar nestas ações.

The 6th edition of the Individual Call to Scientific Employment Stimulus is meant for researchers with PhDs that wish to join the work being developed in Portuguese research centers financed by the FCT. The submission period will last from April 4th to May 3rd 2023 (5 pm. - Lisbon time).

As a Research Unit sponsored by the FCT, the Institute for Medieval Studies (IEM) of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities of Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NOVA FCSH) accepts applications of candidates who wish to submit their projects having the IEM as host Institution. 

All those interested should contact the IEM-NOVA FCSH, until April 14th, by email, to iem.geral@fcsh.unl.pt, informing  the Institute of their intention to apply. Such pre-application to the Institute’s board should be sent with a CV and  an initial a draft of the Project they wish to submit, in no more than two pages.

The IEM’s Board of directors will then analyze the applications before accepting to act as host Institution and will notify the candidates of the acceptance or refusal of their proposals. Further to this first acceptance, the applicants will receive feedback on their projects, as well as advice and support for the completion and submission of the research project proposal to the National Funding Board. 

IEM will organize the session “Appeal for the FCT Individual Stimulus” (date to be defined), an internal initiative especially dedicated to the presentation and debate of accepted projects, in comparison with other successful experiences of similar projects presented or advised by IEM researchers. IEM will also organize, for the first time, a second session (date to be defined) of broader debate with the participation of other NOVA FCSH UIs.

As in previous years, NOVA FCSH will provide its candidates with several clarification sessions. All IEM candidates will be able to participate in these actions.
